In an already eventful 2024 fantasy football season, Josh Allen delivered one of the most astonishing plays in fantasy history. During a game between the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers, Allen managed to score two touchdowns on a single play, a feat almost unheard of in fantasy football.

The play began with Allen completing a quick pass to wide receiver Amari Cooper, who was immediately stopped by the defense. However, Cooper noticed that Allen had circled around to the left side and tossed the ball back to him. Allen, with great awareness, dove toward the pylon to score a touchdown. The NFL officially credited the play as both a passing touchdown and a receiving touchdown for Allen, making it a unique moment in fantasy football history.

From a Bills perspective, it counted as two touchdowns for Allen, but in fantasy football, it was an even more significant play. According to Yahoo Fantasy Sports, the play was scored as 7 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, 1 reception, 7 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdown, resulting in 10.98 fantasy points. Fantasy owners who had Allen in their lineup were likely ecstatic, while those facing him in the playoffs had their playoff hopes dashed in spectacular fashion.

This incredible play was reflective of the entire game between the Bills and the 49ers. The weather conditions in Buffalo played a role, with the Bills thriving in the chaos. Meanwhile, the 49ers struggled throughout the game. Despite an electric start from Christian McCaffrey, who was playing well early on, he was forced to leave the game with a knee injury in the second quarter. The 49ers also suffered from multiple mistakes, including a fumble by star fullback Kyle Juszczyk at the goal line and missed field goals by kicker Jake Moody. Meanwhile, the Bills dominated, with James Cook rushing for 107 yards on 14 carries, contributing to the team’s control of the game.

By the time Allen scored his remarkable touchdown, the Bills were well on their way to victory. It was a decisive moment, further solidifying Buffalo’s control over the game.
